Allow plenty of each! Heated towel rails ensure that towels are always dry and warm. A combination heater/extractor fan and light in the ceiling will ensure that moist air is taken out of the room, while you are kept warm by the heat lamps.
A heater/extractor fan with four heat lamps is adequate fro an average sized bathroom with ceilings of normal height. A two-heater lamp is ideal for an en-suite bathroom.
If you’re renovating an old or dark bathroom, or if your bathroom is on the shady side of the house, it is a good idea to install a sunlight-reflective skylight system to ensure that bright light (even moonlight) reaches the darkest corners – this can transform your bathroom.
